Best Christian Design was birthed out of a lunch time conversation between two friends (Phil Adams & Stephen Costello) in Belfast, Northern Ireland. While browsing the net we discussed web galleries: the impact they have on web trends, the inspiration they give and the promotion of feature sites.

As we searched through a few of the more popular web galleries we discovered several church websites but not nearly enough credit was given to the amazing sites being produced within the global Christian community. But, what if their was a gallery which showcased the best Christian sites. Well…

The conversation developed into a mission, to create such a site. A gallery which showcased the best sites related to Christian churches, ministries, outreaches, and music. With an assault on planning, branding, and late night coding the website you see now was created.

Best Christian Design exists not only to promote fantasic design but also our faith. Phil and Stephen are committed Christians who aim to show the world that Christianity is cutting-edge and relevant in the 21st century.

Stephen Costello

Stephen Costello is a 24 year old graphic designer born and bread in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After leaving school he planned to study Theology at University however a twist in events lead Stephen down a graphic design path and a degree in Interactive Multimedia Design. Since leaving University Stephen has worked as a freelance designer, a software engineer and currently as a graphic designer at Vision Solutions NI.

Beyond work Stephen is a music junkie and leads worship at Elim Christian Centre Belfast. He’s a big Liverpool FC fan and tries to visit Anfield as often as possible.

I want Best Christian Design to be a source of inspiration to designers in every corner of the earth. I love the thought that a designer in Manila can be inspired by someone’s work in Dublin. I’d like to show the world that Christianity has a lot to offer online and our faith is very much alive and growing!

Philip Adams

Phil Adams is a young graphic designer from the green fields of Ireland. After leaving school he went on to study for a degree in Multimedia design. Phil is currently working alongside Stephen at Vision Solutions NI.

Phil is layed back, fun loving and easily amused. The kinda guy who likes to keep things simple. He’s a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and loves working with the young people in the Sunday School and Youth Club.

Having travelled to many areas of the world and seeing the internet as one of the greatest tools for evangelism, I believe that just as the Gospel has been presented on the printed page for hundreds of years we must now ensure that it is also presented on the world wide web, with clearness and clarity. I want Best Christian Design to unite Christian designers from across the world to provide each other with inspiration and ideas on how best to utilise the interent to reach a lost world.
